2021 A Great Year for Bands at Bally

Despite many disruptions to rehearsals and performance opportunities, 2021 was another stellar year for Bands at Bally. With a kind donation from the P&C, we have added a new baritone saxophone, classroom keyboards, stage piano and synthesiser to our resources. We also raised an amazing $3500 at our Term 2 Showcase, which is being used to purchase drumsticks, guitar leads, guitar strings, headphones and other fundamental resources for our curriculum and Band Program.

Our Band Program moved online in Term 3 and remained online for the rest of the year. Despite the difficulties presented by an online format, we have been so impressed by the resilience, passion and work ethic of our music students. A huge thank you is due to Caleb Miller, Julian McKay and Eva Stokes for their work facilitating online rehearsals.

To round out a difficult year, each ensemble created a performance video to share with our school community. We hope to be back face to face in 2022!
