September 2020 P&C General Meeting Round Up
It was great again to see over 30 families join us once again on Google Meet to hear the latest updates from School Exec and the P&C. We were also able to utilise online voting to adopt a couple of finance Housekeeping motions. We also heard that the Year 9 cohort had all participated in the “TomorrowMan” workshop and that links will shared to the Mark Scott interview. The mobile device survey results are still being actioned.
From the Principal…
Paul reported following recent the disturbing social media posts a message is about to go out alerting the parent body. COVID restrictions have sadly impacted the year 12 major work exhibitions and also the normal farewell celebrations and in lieu of this a school assembly is being planned for the last day of term.
A&G block upgrades are progressing well and 21 rooms and the staff common room should be completed during the upcoming holidays. The assets group have extended the scope of the COLA project which will result in an increased cost and Paul will report back as we know more, however the grant funding is not impacted by the delays.
Questions included discussion about the use of the Oval which has not been very high but greatly enjoyed by those who have chosen to go, The admin block in the future will include Music storage and Year 7 applications are currently at 231and remain open. Expect around 1200 enrollments next year.
